New stretcher for the wish ambulance
project summaryThe wish ambulance urgently needs a new stretcher so that it can continue to transport its patients safely and professionally. Donate now for the stretcher and help to ensure that the last wishes of seriously ill people can be fulfilled in the future.
Background
"Seeing the mountains for the last time ... One last time hugging a beloved sister..." Since 2017, the wish ambulance Switzerland has fulfilled over 400 last wishes like these of people at the end of their lives. Thanks to generous donations, all wish fulfillments could be carried out on a voluntary basis and free of charge.
Since the patients of the wish ambulance are mostly very fragile and need permanent medical care, the wish fulfillment requires a specially equipped ambulance and professional volunteers with a medical background to accompany the wish fulfillment.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from AMAG (see SRF program "Happy Day"), the wish ambulance will be welcoming a new vehicle in the next months, which will become their new ambulance.

Idea
While a large part of the costs for the costumization has already been secured, the funds for financing an urgently needed new stretcher and the associated vehicle components are still lacking. The total costs amount to 65'000 CHF.
Designed as a sitting and lying stretcher in one, the stretcher allows patients to be transported safely and professionally in the new ambulance. Thanks to this stretcher, the volunteers are getting relieved and the workload is getting reduced regarding the wish fulfillments.
The manufacturer of the stretcher has agreed to renounce his profit if we can show, through this campaign, that the voluntary commitment of the wish ambulance is supported by civil society.

Implementation
In order to be able to finance the stretcher and to continue to make the fulfillment of last wishes possible, donations are needed.
With your donation, the stretcher and the necessary adjustments to the vehicle (chassis, power supply) can be financed.
For the terminally ill and their relatives, the wish fulfillments often mark final, unforgettable moments of happiness and an important step in saying goodbye to places of longing, loved ones or animals.
Donate to become a wish granter and provide final assistance.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
