Awesome moments for everyone – excursions for socially disadvantaged people
Project SummaryMany socially disadvantaged people – whether individuals, families or social institutions – cannot afford a visit to Arosa Bear Sanctuary, even though the trip provides valuable education about nature and animal welfare. With a solidarity fund, we want to enable them to enjoy free gondola rides and admission.
Background
Arosa Bear Sanctuary is not only a rescue centre for European brown bears, but also a place where visitors can learn a great deal about animal welfare, wildlife conservation and the importance of nature and species protection. For children and adults alike, a visit here is often a memorable experience.
However, for many socially disadvantaged people – whether individuals, families or members of social clubs or institutions – the cost of the cable car ride and admission is hardly affordable. This means that those who would particularly benefit from enriching experiences with nature, animals and education are denied access.

Idea
Arosa Tourism wants to give everyone – regardless of their financial circumstances – the opportunity to experience Arosa Bear Sanctuary and discover animal welfare first-hand.
This crowd donating initiative aims to set up a solidarity fund. This fund will enable socially disadvantaged individuals, families and charitable institutions to enjoy free gondola rides and admission to Arosa Bear Sanctuary.
The result is an inclusive offering that makes nature, education and participation accessible to all.

Implementation
Affected individuals or social institutions can easily register at baeren@arosa.swiss. After a brief review, they will receive:
All donations go directly into the fund and enable further excursions. Every contribution creates new learning and joyful moments for people who would otherwise be denied such experiences.
In 2026, we would like to enable at least 100 socially disadvantaged people to visit Arosa Bear Sanctuary. To do this, we need CHF 6,000.
